The new job I found on odesk.com is really working out well. I recently got a raise of $1.50 more since she likes how I am doing. She is handing me more responsibility, and I am now able to work up to 25 hours a week. All of her apartments that she rents out at per night rates, are located in Manhattan. I took it upon myself, to learning something about the city, and to show some initiative, I now put together a What To Do kind of newsletter for her to hand out to her guest when they check in. Usually cheap/free/must do kind of items. I posted the one for this week earlier today, and you can find that on here under New York City tab. I just thought since I was already doing this I might as well share it with my readers.
My daughter has spring break starting Friday. I have volunteered to watch the other two full day on Mon,Tues,Wed since their mom has school. Today, was the first day we could head to the park since winter. It was still a little chilly, and windy, but not bone chilling, and the kids and me ran around and had fun until their parent came for them.
My accomplishments today (so far!)
1. laundry in dryer
2. Folded the towels that were in dryer (and put them away)
3. Made bed, and picked up and put away some things in my room.
4. Matched up a big basket of socks.
5. One load of dishes in the rack to dry.
6. Started a bag to send to http://www.thredup.com/r/MK8SWE an online consignment shop. They send you a bag, you send them clothes, they pay you! Sure beats the pain of taking photos and posting, and selling on ebay, or saying you are going to and never doing it. Just nice to send them right out the door. 🙂
7. De-cluttered a catch all basket from all the paper trash that was in it.
8. Picked up and Put away the living room stuff
9. Cleaned off the kitchen table.
10. Made Lunch
11. Clipped Coupons
12. Researched and wrote the weekly NYC events page
13. Posted it on here. 🙂
14. Made Snack for Kids
15. Took kiddos to park.
16. Posted this blog.
17. Logged an hour of online work (have another hour tonight)
Now time for dinner and a relaxing evening of 3rd grade math (kiddo having some issues – we have gotten to multiplication and division).
